Lately Sony have had this rather annoying habit of shutting down game servers, with Gravity Rush 2 having its online servers taken down next year. The latest games to follow in this trend is Killzone 2 and 3.
Sony have confirmed that on March 29, 2018 the servers will forever be shut down meaning you won't be able to blast some baddies with your friends anymore. The single player sections of the game will remain unaffected. This is the official statement from Guerrilla Games.
“As we near the end of the online lifecycle for Killzone 2 and Killzone 3, we’d like to express how grateful we are for all the support and feedback we’ve received from the community over the last eight years,” the Dutch developer said. “Your enthusiasm is what drove us to hone our craft and grow as a studio. We hope you enjoyed playing Killzone 2 and Killzone 3 online as much as we did creating them.”
Are you sad to see the servers go? Did you still even play it to this day? Let us know in the comments below.
